My favorite place to visit when I need to reset and refuel is the Mitchell Park Domes. During the week, it is a welcome break from my job search activities. My wife and I went there recently to take photos of orchids and other appealing flowering plants. The Tropical Dome is resplendent with color, showcasing numerous plants and listing species information alongside them.

Photography is a passion that also allows for reflection and stress relief. Within that gorgeous habitat at the Domes, I can let my mind travel beyond my immediate circumstances and explore life forms that I might not otherwise observe. Doing so provides the mental space I need to return to my work-a-day life and continue pressing onward.

It has been two months since I was let go from my previous job. Luckily, I’ve had one promising job interview in a field that is new to me, but one that I am interested in and would enjoy exploring.

Here are some sample photographs of the flowers living at the Mitchell Park Domes!

I hope you enjoy your day and have good luck with all your endeavors!
